Morgan Stanley to acquire Solium Capital for $900m


Morgan Stanley announces acquisition plans to buy stock plan platform, Solium Capital to broaden their “access to corporate clients” in a deal worth $900m.

Morgan Stanley and Solium entered in to partnership in 2016, they provide equity compensation plans for Morgan Stanley’s corporate clients.

James Gorman, chief executive and chairman Morgan Stanley said, “The acquisition provides Morgan Stanley with broader access to corporate clients and a direct channel to their employees, as well as a greater opportunity to establish and develop relationships with a younger demographic and service this population early in their wealth accumulation years.”
