The Kremlin has weighed in on Boris Johnson resigning in a sneering response that they will not be sad that he has been ousted.

Speaking during a call with reporters on Thursday, the Kremlin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said with glee, “He [Boris] doesn’t like us, we don’t like him either.”

The spokesman added that world wide reports Johnson is set to resign as Prime Minister of the UK is of very little concern for the Kremlin.

Since the war started in the Ukraine on 24 February Johnson has blasted Vladimir Putin and his regime which has not helped with diplomatic relations following a series of sanctions being slapped on Moscow.

This could now be a game changer for Putin and the Kremlin who could now take advantage of Johnson resigning leaving them with more options with their invasion in Ukraine.
