Ian Duncan Smith hits out at PMs new Brexit plan

3rd Apr 19 10:00 am

Ian Duncan Smith the former leader of the Conservative Party attacked the prime ministers new plan in delaying Brexit, and to hold open talks with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Smith told Beth Rigby, deputy political editor of Sky News, “this is an utter disaster.”

“We are just about to legitimise Corbyn. It is appalling.”

Boris Johnson the former foreign secretary said, “It is very disappointing that the Cabinet has decided to entrust the final handling of Brexit to Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party.”

Sajid Javid and Jeremy Hunt are thought to have spoken against Theresa May’s plans to hold talks with Corbyn.

Over a dozen senior Tory MPs hit out over the long Article 50 extension and it is rumoured some could step down.

May has been accused of handing over “the keys to Brexit,” Corbyn said he would be “very happy” to meet with May.
