Freeths who are a leading national law firm with an income of almost £120m, are delighted to announce that it has advised UK network service provider, Freshwave, on its recent acquisition of the managed service division of UK-headquartered Wi-Fi specialists, Airangel.

Freshwave is backed by Digital Colony, a leading digital infrastructure investment firm, with over £21 billion in assets under management. Freshwave designs, deploys and manages digital infrastructure both indoors and outdoors, working with mobile network operators, local and central government, and real estate providers. Already experts in radio planning, the addition of Airangel’s Wi-Fi managed service completes Freshwave’s wireless services suite for enterprises in the UK and Europe.

Maurice Woolf, COO at Freshwave, said, “Thank you to Andrew Bretherton, Emily Settle and all the Freeths’ team for your support in bringing the transaction to a close.  As the buyer, this is always the start of a journey rather than the end, but we would not have got here without your pragmatic and professional assistance.”

Andrew Bretherton, corporate partner at Freeths said, “We enjoyed working with Maurice and the Freshwave team on this acquisition and hope we have more opportunities to work together again soon.”
