Suella Braverman the former Home Secretary has told Keir Starmer to “stop being an idiot” as she is concerned of the “damage” Labour has done to US-UK ties.

Braverman expressed her frustration with the government and said that Starmer should learn “lessons” from Donald Trump’s administration over their response to border security.”

She told GB News, “Keir Starmer and half of the Cabinet voted against Trump’s state visit last time. We have so many figures like David Lammy who have made ridiculous, personal attacks on Donald Trump and they are all trying to backtrack.

“They’re all desperately trying to suck up to President Trump. At best, they are going to be irrelevant.

“At worst, they have done great harm to the UK’s national interest. They have got to grow up, stop playing petty, student politics and actually stand up for the UK.

“Get a free trade agreement, work on ensuring our military and security agreements are robust and learn the lessons of how Donald Trump is securing their border for a start.”

On Sunday Trump told supporters, “Starting tomorrow, I will act with historic speed of strength and fix every single crisis facing our country.”

Trump said it will not take several weeks to make the executive orders vowing, “Like hell we’re going to do it over weeks, we’re going to sign them at the beginning.”

“By the time the sun sets tomorrow, the invasion of our country will have come to a halt,” he added.
