On Wednesday the European Union’s Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said the UK’s chaotic departure from the EU without a Brexit deal “stills exists.”

Should parliament fail to ratify the Brexit deal that was agreed with the EU27, then a no-deal Brexit will happen at the end of January 2020 as no further extensions will be granted.

Speaking in Brussels Barnier said, “The risk of Brexit happening without an agreement still exists, we still need to prepare.

“In all member states, there is a big difference in preparedness between bigger companies and SMEs. It’s not time to become complacent. Work with SMEs in particular must continue. “
