The world of crypto may have been hit with violent tribulations this year, however, crypto entrepreneur Brian Armstrong has just hit a landmark billionaire valuation.
The 35-year-old tech entrepreneur is the co-founder and CEO of Coinbase– the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US.

In January, Forbes had estimated that Armstrong’s net worth was between $900m and $1bn.
“He went out to raise $1m, and fell short. He only raised $600k of the round at a $10m valuation.”
And today Coinbase is valued at 8Bn. Go Brian & team 👏 https://t.co/VwxYPVZ8LR

After launching his company in 2012, Armstrong wanted to allow people to purchase cryptocurrencies with bank transfers and cards.
From his early days, Armstrong saw the Internet as a tool to bring about a change in society. And it was when he came across a whitepaper written by Satoshi Nakamoto that he became increasingly interested in the financial system and digital currency.
The San Francisco- based company has recently received an investment of $300m at a valuation of $8bn.
