Rising allegations against the actor

British police are now investigating an allegation of sexual assault against Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey.

According to the media, officers from Scotland Yard are looking into claims that a man was sexually assaulted in London in 2008 when 58-year-old Spacey was working here as the artistic director of the Old Vic theatre.

“On 1 November, City of London police referred an allegation of sexual assault to the Metropolitan police service,” a Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed adding: “It is alleged a man assaulted another man in 2008 in Lambeth. Officers from the child abuse and sexual offences command are investigating.”

The investigation is believed to relate to claims by a British actor who alleges that Spacey abused him after he passed out at his home. The unnamed man, who was 23 at the time, told UK media that he woke to find the actor performing a sexual act on him.

Spacey has been facing multiple accusations of sexual harassment or abuse over the last week after actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making sexual advance towards him in 1985.
