The Queen has stripped her son Prince Andrew of all his royal patronages and military titles as she held an hour long meeting with Charles and William at Windsor.
Prince Andrew now faces losing his 31 bedroom Georgian mansion and he could lose his police protection and would have to pay for his own security, The Sun reports.
He has spent £7.5m refurbishing the mansion and had a swimming pool built inside. The Royal lodge could be worth around £30m which was the Queen Mother’s old home.
In 2003 he signed a 75-year lease for a one off fee of £1m and should he be kicked out he could move into Frogmore Cottage which is Harry and Meghan’s old home.
Prince Andrew has also had his HRH title removed on Wednesday and Andrew is now classed as a “private citizen.”
Buckingham Palace said in a shocking statement on Wednesday, “With the Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen.
“The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.”
