Moscow find it ‘extremely hard to believe’ ISIS carried out the terror attack and blames London

27th Mar 24 3:56 pm

Russia has said on Wednesday that that do not “believe” Islamic State carried out the terrorist attack on concert hall in Moscow last week.

Several IS gunmen stormed the concert hall and have killed at least 140 and injured some 360 people and the terror group have claimed responsibility for the attack.

However, the Russian Foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said it’s “extremely hard to believe” that IS have the ability to carry out this type of attack.

Russian state investigators are now looking into whether or not Washington or London were involved in the attack.

Following a request from politicians the investigators will be looking into the “organisation, financing and conduct of terrorist acts” by the US and other countries in the West.

The director the Federal Security Service (FSB) believes that Ukraine is involved, and that Washington and London participated in helping with the attack.

The British Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron said, “Russia’s claims about the West and Ukraine on the Crocus City Hall attack are utter nonsense.

The FSB director Alexander Bortnikov has said that the UK are responsible for the attack, Russian state news outlet TASS reported.

Bortnikov said on Tuesday that they have not identified those who “ordered” the attack and the terror group were heading to Ukraine where they would have been “greeted as heroes.”

The FSB chief added, “We believe the action was prepared both by the radical Islamists themselves and, of course, facilitated by Western special services, and Ukraine’s special services themselves have a direct connection to this.”

A senior Ukrainian presidential aide said that Russia accusing Kyiv for the attacks are nothing but “lies.”

Mykhailo Podolyak said, “The lies are officially spread by (Russian security council secretary Nikolai) Patrushev, and after that by the “head of FSB” Bortnikov.
