Elon Musk offered a ‘nuclear power plant’ by Moscow for Mars mission

Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, has said Russia โ€œcan offerโ€ a nuclear power plant for Elon Muskโ€™s Mars mission along with other โ€œadvanced technologies.โ€

Dmitriev said that the tech billionaire Musk is a โ€œgreat visionaryโ€ and that Russia could help the SpaceX founder with useful technology to be used in space.

Reuters reported that Dmitriev said speaking at Arctic forum in Murmansk, โ€œRussia can offer a small-sized nuclear power plant for a mission to Mars and other advanced technological capabilities.โ€

He is expecting to hold talks with the Tesla founder soon which comes as the US-Russia talks is improving ties between the two nations.

Musk has previously said the humans could land on Mars between 2029 and 2031.
