A bank robbery took place at 9.35am on one of London’s busiest streets today.
A man made off with cash in front of witnesses at the Barclays bank on Regent Street.
It is not yet known how much money was stolen, but Twitter reports indicate the robber left a trail of change in coin trays in his wake.
No weapon was seen or used, Police said in a statement.
The alleged culprit escaped before the Met arrived on the scene, but officers told witness Richard Barnett the cash was covered in red dye.
