Brexit: UK would now vote to stay in EU

According to a new poll of polls, YouGov has analysed 300 surveys that has revealed the public are now supporting to stay in the EU.

Research compiled for the Evening Standard shows that 204 out of 226 polls since July 2017 reveal the majority of the public want to Remain, Leave only won seven times and there were 15 ties.

During the course of 2019 one poll shows there is support to leave whilst 74 polls show the public want to Remain.

Anthony Wells, director of political research at YouGov, told the Evening Standard, โ€œThe polling evidence is concrete.โ€

โ€œThe overwhelming majority of questions asking people if Brexit is right or wrong, or if they would now vote Remain or Leave, show a lead for Remain, and have done for over two years.โ€

He added, โ€œThe characterisation of the situation as people vs parliament doesnโ€™t really stand up when the public are split over Brexit.
