Six people have been killed in a bomb blast near the pyramids in Egypt.
The explosion took place at a checkpoint near a mosque in the western Talibiya neighbourhood of the Egyptian capital Cairo.

The bomb went off on Pyramids road, the main avenue leading from the city centre out to the Giza pyramids.
