9th Apr 19 2:25 pm

European Union’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier said, the EU hopes the cross party talks in London will produce a positive majority in Parliament over Brexit.

Barnier made it clear, any further postponement beyond the 12 April will depend on what Theresa May presents.

Speaking to a news conference on Tuesday Barnier said, “The duration of an extension it has got to be in line with the purpose of any such extension.

“Any extension should serve a purpose. The length should be proportional to the objective. Our objective is an orderly withdrawal. ‘No-deal’ will never by the EU’s decision. In order to avoid ‘no-deal’, the UK needs to agree to a deal.”
