On Friday Aldi and Lidl became the latest supermarkets to announce they are cutting the cost of a price of milk.

The UK’s most popular budget retailers have joined Tesco and Sainsbury’s to cut the price of a four-pint own brand from £1.65 to £1.55.

The changes come at a time when food inflation has soared as groceries have reached their highest levels in decades.
