This big company is set to move into the Shard

The first employees will arrive at The Shard by April 2017

The Shard has confirmed a new letting to Kraft Heinz, the company will relocate its European and UK headquarters from, Hayes, Middlesex to the famous vertical city in London Bridge.

Kraft Heinz has signed a 12-year lease to take over levels 20 and 21 at an undisclosed rent. The companies new space will be open plan and is designed to increase efficiency amongst its employees.

The new fit out is due to commence in the new year.

The move comes as Kraft Heinz want to strengthen its dynamic culture, which is based on meritocracy, speed and efficiency.

The Shard was selected due to its strong transport links and the wealth of nearby amenities, both inside the building and the surrounding neighbourhoods,this will benefit the business and its employees.

Irvine Sellar, The Shard’s developer, co-owner and vice-chairman of REM, said: “Kraft Heinz is one of the world’s most loved brands and its products can be found in nearly every kitchen cupboard across the UK. The decision by Kraft Heinz to relocate the engine of its UK operations to central London shows real confidence in the Capital’s enduring position as a global business hub. Kraft Heinz joins a diverse community of companies within The Shard and will add to the vibrant London Bridge neighbourhood, which is now certainly one of the best areas in London to do business.”

Kraft Heinz makes the total number of occupiers in The Shard rise to 32, a wealth of different sectors work from the building including, energy, technology, fashion, finance, education, and healthcare.
