The Met Office has said the UK is set for snow from Friday as temperatures are to plummet to as low as 2C in some areas.
Weather forecasters at the Met Office and the BBC weather have said that snow is also expected to arrive in London by the end of the week.
Southern parts of the UK will see frost becoming more widespread, and colder conditions will dominate the forecast.
Northern parts of the UK are likely to see showers which “could contain rain, sleet or hail,” and on Tuesday some parts of the UK could see sleet or snow.
Next week the UK is likely to see snow and hail in some areas which will be mainly in the north.
