Two people have been hurt after scaffolding around a building collapsed on Thursday hurting two people with fears people could be trapped.

Firefighters are using thermal imaging to search for anyone trapped, as a south central ambulance spokesman said initial calls suggest there maybe people trapped.

The spokesman said, “We are currently at the scene assessing two people with non-life-threatening injuries.
“The fire service are using their thermal imaging equipment to search the collapsed scaffolding to see if there is anyone trapped in that.”
Emergency services are currently dealing with an Incident in Garrard Street in Reading, Berkshire UK.

The area has been cordoned off with road closures, police and paramedics on the scene.
A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) spokesman said, “We are aware of an incident and are making initial inquiries.”
