A Stockton-on-Tees-based motorcycle business has launched what it claims is the UK’s first dedicated online platform for Harley-Davidson parts https://ironstable.app bringing together more than 117,000 genuine and aftermarket components in a single searchable catalogue.
Iron Stable, fulfilment by Iron City Motorcycles, went live today at https://ironstable.app with 117,716 parts and accessories available from day one. The platform allows riders to search by model, year, VIN or OEM part number, with coverage stretching back to 1941 Harley-Davidson models through to the present day.
The business is fulfilled from three UK centres — Stockton-on-Tees, Leeds and Bury St Edmunds — enabling nationwide despatch, with free delivery on orders over £100.
Solving a long-standing pain point
At the core of the platform is a free part-finder tool that matches riders to the exact component they need using official Harley-Davidson exploded parts diagrams. Where an aftermarket equivalent exists, Iron Stable displays it alongside the genuine option with live pricing and stock availability.
Until now, UK Harley owners have typically had to navigate multiple dealers, importers and forums to source parts — a process the company says Iron Stable is designed to eliminate entirely.
Dale Gillespie, Chief Operating Officer of Iron City Motorcycles, said the project represented a major investment for the business.
“We’ve spent well over a year building something that simply did not exist before in the UK,” he said. “Every Harley rider knows the frustration of hunting across three different suppliers, two forums and a workshop manual just to find one component. Iron Stable ends that.”
Companion app targets riding clubs and owners’ groups
Running alongside the website is a companion mobile app, currently in closed beta with multiple UK Harley-Davidson owners’ groups. The app is focused less on parts and more on the ownership experience — tracking MOTs via gov.uk, DVLA tax status, insurance expiry dates, manufacturer recall campaigns and full service histories.
Its most ambitious feature is Ride Ops, a group ride planning tool developed in collaboration with experienced ride leaders. The system automatically extracts every junction on a planned route, assigns roles across the group — lead rider, tail gunner, backmarker and others — and generates personalised turn-by-turn briefings for each participant. It also supports Street View reconnaissance and hazard annotation ahead of ride day.
For riding clubs, the app offers management tools including 18 officer roles, granular permissions, member-approval workflows, digital membership cards with QR verification and a full audit log.
Riders whose club is registered on Iron Stable also unlock member pricing of up to 20 per cent off across the full parts catalogue.
AI-driven cataloguing
Making more than 117,000 parts accurately searchable is a non-trivial problem in motorcycle e-commerce. Iron Stable says it has developed a proprietary AI-assisted cataloguing system in-house that verifies each listing is correctly described, categorised and matched to the right motorcycle. OEM exploded parts diagrams are all available via http://ironstable.app/part-finder/ The company describes this as a core piece of intellectual property underpinning the platform, with the system designed to refine continuously after launch.
Expansion potential
While the initial launch is focused on UK riders, Gillespie indicated the platform has been built with broader ambitions in mind, noting it has “significant EU and beyond expansion potential.”
The app is expected to open to the wider community in the coming months, with the closed beta currently running across more than 25 owners’ groups and independent owners in the UK and Ireland. Iron City estimates the UK’s independent Harley-Davidson owner base at around 40,000 riders.
