International domain zone .COM has received a new round of development. British telecommunications company Intis Telecom has acquired a two-letter domain extension “IT.COM “. Thus, the number of free names in the zone .COM has increased.

Intis Telecom was founded in 2008 by Andrey Insarov. Currently the company has several thousand of customers around the world. This year Intis Telecom exhibited at the largest digital exhibitions in Europe – WMF022 in Italy, OMR-Festivals and CloudFest in Germany, as well as London’s Tech Week that was held in June at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre.

The new domain zone is driving great interest among online companies that want to establish their international projects or local websites that require well recognised domain names in different parts of the world. Furthermore, IT.COM zone is very similar to the Italian national zone .IT

The IT.COM zone opens up a wide range of new opportunities, convenient built-in features and tools. Among the most distinguishing one is an ability to use national languages or even emojis in the domain names, e.g. ❤️.it.com.

A few years ago, Intis Telecom acquired the IT.CO.UK domain for $235,000 and now it signed a deal to purchase IT.COM for the price tag of $3.8 million. This is the largest domain contract of 2021 and 2022 by far. The deal secures it 5th place in the chart of the most impressive domain buy-and-sell contracts.

Many experts recognise the potential of new domain zones to gain both huge popularity and huge followings and Intis intends to leverage the explosive pace of Internet technology development and a strong demand for an increasing number of available domain names.
