Update: The station has now reopened after London Fire Brigade confirmed there was no fire at the station.
We were called to investigate a fire alarm at #Waterloostation but to reassure you there is no fire. We will be leaving the scene shortly.

Waterloo station has been evacuated because of an emergency. Passengers were instructed to leave the station as soon as possible after a fire alarm went off.
Hundreds of passengers are waiting outside the station.
In a statement, South West Trains said:
“The station has been evacuated due to a fire alarm. The fire services are in attendance now. At this stage we are not aware that there has been a fire but obviously the fire services need to check all parts of the station.”
