Loaded tycoons are spending up to $45,000 (£28,000) to attend a matchmaking cocktail party at Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island.
The love party is organised by Kelleher International, the elite dating firm that provides matchmaking services to multimillionaires around the world.
Due to be held in January, the party will be attended by a group of 30 business tycoons who can’t sign up for online internet dating services “because many of their employees are the ones looking”.
Amber Kelleher-Andrews, chief executive, Kelleher International, told The Sunday Times: “Whether it’s two girls that become best friends or two guys that become business partners together or it’s a couple that ends up falling in love, I’ve seen it at TED, I’ve seen it at Sundance and I know it can happen at Necker,” she told a group of potential clients at a recent party in San Francisco.
Earlier this month, Sir Richard Branson reopened his £60m luxury Caribbean getaway after it was destroyed by fire in August 2011.
