Morgan Stanley to bar unvaccinated staff and clients from entering the office

According to reports, the Wall Street giant Morgan Stanley are to bar unvaccinated staff from entering their offices in NewYork.

The investment bank’s staff will therefore be forced to work from home, and clients of the bank and all visitors will also be barred if they are unvaccinated.

A memo which was sent to staff and seen by the BBC says this will come into force from 12 July.

The internal memo said, “Starting July 12 all employees, contingent workforce, clients and visitors will be required to attest to being fully vaccinated to access Morgan Stanley buildings in New York City and Westchester.”

Morgan Stanely currently operate on an honour system, which could require proof of a vaccination at a later date.

This month, Morgan Stanley chief executive James Gorman said, “If you can go into a restaurant in New York City, you can come into the office.”
