The list of the Queen’s New Year Honours has been released – with at least one controversial name.
More than 1,100 people are set to be honoured, most of whom for services to their community.
However, as always, there are a few famous names.
Famous actors Joan Collins, John Hurt, Emily Watson, Sheridan Smith, Meera Syal and Kristin Scott Thomas all came up on the list – along with comedy actor James Corden, who hasn’t gone down too well on Twitter.
There has never been a better argument for abolishing the Honours List than giving James Corden an OBE.

The creators of the World War One poppy exhibit at the Tower of London, Ceramic artist Paul Cummins and theatre designer Tom Piper, are set to receive MBEs.
Also on the list are entrepreneur James Caan, campaigner and television presenter Esther Rantzen, fashion designer Mary Quant, former Lib Dem leader Paddy Ashdown, inventor Trevor Baylis and the World Cup-winning women’s rugby team.
