The retailer went into administration in April
BHS is launching a new clothing range today which includes a 60s-style check shift dress (£30), the jersey shirt dress (£32), and the long jersey maxi skirt (£25).
The collection, which is being rolled out a month after BHS.com itself was relaunched on September 29th, is starting with a number of popular men’s and women’s wear items. A small number of items will be available at launch, with plans to significantly ramp up the number of options going forward.
Womenswear categories available in the initial collection include dresses, skirts, trousers and sleepwear. Other categories to be added in the next few weeks include knitwear, jeans, further sleepwear and slippers. Menswear items at launch will be long and short sleeve t-shirts, jeans and trousers, sleepwear and slippers, with knitwear, coats and jackets being added next month.
Sara Bradley, Buying Director, BHS, said:“Modern layering has been a key influence for this initial range, which is made up of wardrobe-building easy separates. The collection is very tight but we will be adding collections regularly to expand the offer including children’s character products and women’s day to evening party wear in Autumn/Winter.
“Some of my favourites for launch include the 60s style check shift dress for £30; the easy jersey shirt dress available in black or red, which looks great on its own or layered over trousers or leggings; the long jersey maxi skirt, which is easy and flattering; and the elegant wrap effect jersey dress, available in three colours.”
Selected best-selling items that the old BHS sold have also been continued through to the new business. These include the ‘mix and match’ tailoring range in womenswear (jacket, £32; trousers, £15; skirts, £15).
