The 7th International Conference on Data Analytics & Management (ICDAM-2026) was held in hybrid mode from 12–14 June 2026, bringing together researchers, academics and technology professionals working across data analytics, artificial intelligence and enterprise technology.
The conference was held at London Metropolitan University in association with WSG University in Bydgoszcz, Poland; Portalegre Polytechnic University, Portugal; and SGGW Management Institute, Poland.
The conference drew more than 2,000 submitted papers from around 9,000 authors across more than 40 countries. Following peer review, roughly 500 papers were accepted for publication in Springer’s Lecture Notes on Networks and Systems (LNNS). More than 300 delegates joined online on the opening day alongside around 50 attending in person at London Metropolitan University, with more than 150 authors presenting research through online sessions the following day.
The conference programme was steered by a committee drawing on senior academic leadership, including Prof. Vassil Vassilev, Professor of AI and Intelligent Systems and Head of the Cyber Security Research Centre at London Metropolitan University, and Prof. Bal Virdee, Professor of Microwave Communications and Director of the university’s Centre for Communications Technology. Their involvement reflects ICDAM’s broader focus on artificial intelligence, data-driven technologies and the networked systems that support them.
A competitive international awards programme
Alongside its academic programme, ICDAM-2026 featured the International Universal Inovator Leadership Awards (I-UILA), recognising professionals and researchers working across artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, enterprise technology, digital transformation, cloud engineering, privacy and academic research.
The 2026 awards attracted approximately 750 nominations across the programme, drawing professionals and researchers from different industries, disciplines and academic environments internationally.
Candidates progressed through evaluation and shortlisting before final recipients were determined through a selection process involving the Award Selection Committee and International Jury. Assessments considered factors including innovation, professional contribution, leadership, practical impact and the wider relevance of the nominee’s work.
Competition was particularly selective in individual categories, with some drawing around 85–95 nominations and ultimately recognising only one or two recipients, representing a final selection rate of approximately 1–2% in those categories.
The published 2026 results span 31 distinct award categories and name 37 recipients, with most categories recognising a single individual and several naming more than one honouree. The breadth of the programme is reflected in categories covering artificial intelligence in healthcare, operations and critical infrastructure; data science and analytics; cybersecurity; data governance; cloud engineering; digital transformation; enterprise solutions; privacy-preserving technologies; and research achievement.
Seven technology professionals representing the breadth of the 2026 awards
Of this year’s I-UILA honourees, London Loves Business focuses on seven technology professionals whose work reflects some of the most consequential areas of contemporary enterprise technology. Their recognised contributions span enterprise data governance, large-scale retail transformation, consumer-facing artificial intelligence, financial-services technology, cloud automation, enterprise software engineering and privacy-preserving data systems.
The seven were selected for this feature because their work provides practical examples of how advances in data, AI and enterprise technology are being applied within large organisations and public-sector environments. From governing critical enterprise data and modernising retail infrastructure to developing AI-enabled platforms, regulatory systems and technologies designed to protect sensitive information, their careers illustrate both the breadth of the I-UILA programme and the real-world applications behind the individual award categories.
Data Governance and Enterprise Data Leadership
Ashok Mallempati was recognised with the Data Science, Analytics & Intelligence – Data Governance & Master Data Management Excellence Award, reflecting a career centred on the governance, quality and management of enterprise data.
A Developer at Kemper Corporation through Merastar Insurance Company, Mallempati has spent more than a decade building and supporting Master Data Management and data warehouse systems, with experience across Informatica MDM and IICS platforms.
His work has included designing multi-domain MDM solutions that bring together data from different areas of an organisation, alongside configuring match-and-merge processes, trust rules and validation mechanisms used to improve the consistency and reliability of enterprise master data.
More recently, his responsibilities have extended to migrating critical data pipelines into the Snowflake cloud data platform, combining established data-governance principles with the modernisation of enterprise data infrastructure.
His progression from master-data architecture and data-quality controls to cloud-based data platforms places his professional work directly within the data governance and Master Data Management discipline recognised by the award.
Software Engineering Achievement
Abhiram Potharaju received the Software Engineering Achievement Award, recognising work in enterprise application development and financial-services technology.
A Senior Software Engineer at Wells Fargo with more than 11 years of experience, Potharaju has worked extensively with Java, Spring Boot, microservices and Angular in the development of enterprise applications.
His recent work has included full-stack development for Trust & Wealth Management platforms, including workflow automation supporting Corporate Transparency Act reporting and disclosure-tracking systems associated with retail investment products.
Earlier in his career at Deloitte, Potharaju contributed to the core rule engine of a financial risk-analytics platform. His work included developing scoring logic used to identify potentially high-risk customer behaviour and support fraud-detection and regulatory-compliance assessments.
Across these projects, his software engineering experience has been applied to systems where application architecture, automation, financial regulation and operational reliability intersect, providing a clear connection between his professional work and the engineering achievement recognised by the award.
Digital Transformation and Technology Leadership
Chandra Kiran Movva received the Technology Leader with Outstanding Contribution in Digital Transformation Award, following more than 12 years of work across mobile and web software development.
Movva currently serves as a Senior Android Developer supporting the omnichannel retail platforms used by Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s.
His work has included modernising legacy kiosk systems, moving established retail applications towards newer architectures and developing a custom Android payment gateway for in-store handheld devices in collaboration with Fiserv and Zebra.
He has also worked on security and application-update mechanisms designed to support distributed retail devices operating across large-scale environments.
Earlier in his career, Movva contributed to Ford’s AppLink connected-vehicle library, extending his experience beyond retail into connected automotive technology.
Across both sectors, his work has focused on a recurring challenge in digital transformation: moving established systems towards modern technology platforms while maintaining the reliability required by the operational environments they support.
Artificial Intelligence Innovation
Nishanthi Yuvaraj was honoured with the Excellence in Artificial Intelligence Award, recognising work at the intersection of large-scale data infrastructure, intelligent systems and customer engagement.
A Staff Software Engineer at PayPal in Austin, Texas, Yuvaraj has more than a decade of experience developing distributed backend systems and enterprise data platforms, with particular experience in Google BigQuery for large-scale analytics and decisioning.
Her work has included leadership contributions to PayPal’s Proactive Nudge Hub and Customer Journey platforms, which process and map large volumes of streaming events to support personalised, real-time customer engagement.
Her earlier experience includes chatbot and omnichannel customer-support systems developed using technologies including Google Dialogflow and IBM Watson.
Yuvaraj is also a named inventor on three granted US patents. Her work brings together AI-enabled customer interaction, large-scale data processing and the infrastructure required to operate intelligent decisioning and personalisation systems at enterprise scale.
Automation and Cloud Engineering
Hari Krishna Mupparapu received the Achievement Award in System Automation & Cloud Engineering, recognising work involving enterprise automation and cloud modernisation.
A Software Development Engineer II currently supporting General Motors Financial, Mupparapu has more than 16 years of experience across .NET, Angular and Microsoft Azure environments.
His recent work has focused on migrating legacy on-premises financial applications to cloud-based Azure architectures and developing serverless solutions using Azure Function Apps to automate business workflows.
He has also implemented continuous integration and deployment pipelines through Azure DevOps, helping automate application development, testing and release processes.
Across a career involving organisations including Wells Fargo, Equifax and Travelport, his work has consistently involved modernising enterprise systems while maintaining the security, reliability and operational stability expected of production environments.
The combination of cloud migration, serverless architecture, workflow automation and deployment engineering closely aligns with the system automation and cloud engineering focus of the award.
Innovation in Enterprise Solutions
Bhargavaram Potharaju was recognised with the Innovation in Enterprise Solutions Award for work spanning enterprise infrastructure, automation and regulatory technology.
A Lead Infrastructure Engineer at Wells Fargo with more than 12 years of experience, Potharaju has worked across Oracle OFSAA, FCCM and OBIEE technologies, alongside NASDAQ AxiomSL and OpenShift.
His work has included infrastructure engineering for regulatory-reporting platforms supporting US, Basel and international compliance requirements.
Potharaju has designed OpenShift-based high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures and contributed to the migration of regulatory platforms across multiple enterprise environments.
His engineering work has also included Python-based automation for operating-system patching, compliance auditing and application deployments, reducing manual processes associated with maintaining complex enterprise infrastructure.
Earlier experience supporting OFSAA implementations at Oracle provided exposure to the enterprise platforms that later became central to his infrastructure and regulatory-technology work.
His career reflects the increasingly important role of infrastructure engineering, automation and resilient architecture in maintaining enterprise systems operating under complex regulatory requirements.
Privacy-Preserving Technologies
Divya Sai Jaladi received the Privacy Preserving Technologies Award, recognising work focused on protecting sensitive information within enterprise and public-sector systems.
A Senior Software Engineer with more than 10 years of experience developing enterprise applications for US government agencies and Fortune 500 financial institutions, Jaladi has worked extensively with systems handling sensitive citizen and organisational information.
At the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles, her work has included designing systems that apply data-discovery and classification techniques to identify and protect sensitive citizen records, including personally identifiable information.
She has also worked on audit-logging and exception-handling frameworks designed around state and federal data requirements, connecting application engineering with the technical controls required to manage sensitive information in government environments.
Alongside her applied engineering work, Jaladi has maintained a research portfolio spanning data quality, data security and machine learning, with more than 13 peer-reviewed publications and over 220 independent citations. Her published research includes work addressing GDPR compliance and real-time data discovery in enterprise systems.
Her professional and academic work approaches privacy from complementary directions: the practical engineering of systems handling sensitive information and research into frameworks for data protection, discovery and governance.
A global showcase of technology recognition
The seven professionals featured by London Loves Business illustrate the range of expertise recognised through this year’s I-UILA awards, from enterprise data governance and retail engineering to applied artificial intelligence, cloud migration, regulatory infrastructure and data privacy.
The scale of nominations, selective category-level competition and involvement of an International Jury provide the wider context for their recognition.
