Japanese firm Toyota will be investing a whopping £240m in its UK operations.
A new global manufacturing system will help with the production of cars, the firm will upgrade the Burnaston plant which is situated near Derby.
The new move is set to promote UK supply chain efficiencies.
The Burnaston plant makes two models, this is the Auris and the Avensis.
Last year the plant built around 180,000 models, many of these are exported to countries across Europe and other places around the world.
Not only will the plant receive this huge lump sum of money, it will also be obtaining £21.3m in funding for training, research and development, as well as enhancing the plant’s environmental performance. This will be coming from the government.
