The Times reported, that mutilated bodies of men, women and children were also found inside a basement of a holiday cottage in the town of Bucha.

“In Bucha, we have already buried 280 people in mass graves,” Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk told the AFP news agency.

He said, “All these people were shot, killed, in the back of the head.” Fedoruk said the youngest victim that he saw was an innocent 14-year-old boy.

Mihaylo Podolyak, adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a picture from Bucha on Twitter, that shows the bodies of three men on the street.

He wrote, “The bodies of people with tied hands, who were shot dead by soldiers lie in the streets.

“These people were not in the military.

“They had no weapons. They posed no threat.”

Ukraine authorities said they found scenes which are “hard to describe” with dead bodies of “executed civilians” and “mass graves” in areas that have been liberated from Russian control.

Russian forces have “executed” civilians in Bucha with their hands tied behind their backs and were shot dead “in the back of their heads” which “looks exactly like war crimes.”

Dmytro Kuleba said that the “Bucha massacre was deliberate. Russians aim to eliminate as many Ukrainians as they can.”

Human Rights Watch said that Russian forces in Bucha rounded up five men on 4 March 4 and executed one of them.

A witness told Human Rights Watch that Russian soldiers forced the civilians to kneel on the side of a road,  they then pulled their T-shirts over their heads, and shot one of them in the back of the head.

Matilda Bogner, head of the United Nations (UN) human rights team in Ukraine said this is not an isolated case as this also happened in other part of Ukraine and in Mariupol where one mass grave had around 200 dead civilians.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to head to Bucha, northeastern Ukraine to investigate war crimes committed by Russian forces after they discovered “mass graves.”
