McDonald’s hit with supply chain issues as they run out of milkshake

Fast food giant McDonald’s has been hit with supply chain issues and has run out of milkshakes and bottled drinks across all 1,250 UK outlets.

In a statement, McDonald’s said that bottled drinks and milkshakes would temporarily be unavailable, but they are “working hard to return these items to the menu.”

“Like most retailers, we are currently experiencing some supply chain issues, impacting the availability of a small number of products,” the company said.

“Bottled drinks and milkshakes are temporarily unavailable in restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales.”

Supermarkets have also been affected in recent weeks including Nando’s and KFC which have both suffered with chicken shortages.
