Lloyds Banking Group has announced on Thursday that they are going to pay quarterly dividends from 2020.
The move by Lloyds will see income being distributed to 2.4m shareholders regularly.
For the first three quarters of the year, three equal ordinary dividend payments will be paid, subject to performance, with a larger ordinary dividend paid in the fourth quarter.
Currently the bank pays dividend twice a year and paid £4bn to their investors in 2018.
The bank said the new policy will not impact on the buyback scheme.
