UPDATE

The Met has just tweeted: “@metpoliceuk: We have arrested a man at Tottenham Court Road. A search of the building is underway. Further details to follow #TCR

A bomb scare at Shropshire House on Tottenham Court Road has been reported. Reports are sketchy, but a man wearing a bomb vest made of four gas canisters has threated to blow himself up.

Police are reported to have entered the building where four hostages are reported to be held.

Eye witnesses have reported a man on the fifth floor of Shropshire House, which is also the HQ to Huffington Post UK, throwing papers and equipment out of the window in protest to having failed a training course at Advantage, the company targeted.

Apparently the man who failed the HGV course is demanding his money back. He is reported to have said he had nothing to live for anymore and wanted to blow the place up.

Goodge Street Tube Station is shut as a result.
