This winter could be the coldest in years

The UK has seen its first snow in October this year.

Great Dun Fell, the second tallest mountain in the range in England’s Pennines, was covered in snow this morning.

While temperatures dropped to just below 8C in Scotland, the rest of the UK will experience sun and showers.

Early this year, forecasters said this winter will be the snowiest and coldest for years.

In fact, Accuweather has predicted the UK is set for 15-18 storms between now and April 2017.
