How did it happen?
The chief executive of Twitter, Jack Dorsey had his account briefly suspended due to what he called an “internal mistake”.
Anyone trying to access his account received a message saying that the account had been suspended, the issue occurred for about 15 minutes.
Twitter is in control of account suspension but user can deactivate their own profiles if they wish.
His account is up and running again and any previous tweets are no longer visible.
This incident has come about not long after Twitter announced it struggles to increase its user numbers.
Dorsey made a return to the company last year but has yet to help it see any more growth.
Twitter also recently announced they would be axing jobs, it will be losing nine per cent of its workforce and will be closing down popular video application Vine.
Many reports suggested the company was in talks to find a buyer for Vine but no deal has emerged.
