The Kremlin has warned London that if any British made weapons are used to strike the Russian Federation then Moscow will hit UK targets โbeyondโ Ukraineโs borders.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova warned that UK targets “on Ukraine’s territory and beyond its borders” will be struck.
Moscow also issued a grave threat that they will target โany UK military facilityโ if Ukraine fires British made long-range missiles inside Russia.
Lord David Cameron gave Kyiv a green light to hit targets in Russia using British made weapons.
Cameron told Reuters, โJust as Russia is striking inside Ukraine, you can quite understand why Ukraine feels the need to make sure itโs defending itself.โ
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Cameronโs statement โhad de facto recognised his country as a part of the conflict,โ adding that this is a โserious escalationโ by the UK.
Following this, the French President Emmanuel Macron said he will send the French Army to Ukraine if Russia breaks through the front lines and this would โlegitimatelyโ happen.
French troops are currently โpreparing for warโ and are ready for deployment to Ukraine and are training for a โhigh intensity scenario.โ
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “The Kremlin views Cameronโs statements about Kyivโs right to use British weapons to strike the Russian Federation as a direct escalation.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova added on Thursday, “Russia is responding to that and will continue to respond.
