Fortnum & Mason, the shopping haunt of royals, is set to open a new store in King’s Cross.
The 2,000 sq ft store will be its first new store in its 307-year history and is expected to benefit from the 35 million people who go through the station every year.
Ewan Venters, chief executive of Fortnum & Mason, said: “St Pancras is London’s Grand Central Station. It’s a great opportunity. We feel the centre of gravity in London is moving north and east from Piccadilly.
“Nearly a quarter of those people are going there to shop rather than to travel.”
