High Street food giant Greggs has lifted its profit outlook again as it continues to enjoy “very strong” sales.
The company – which enjoyed a huge boost to sales earlier in the year following the introduction of its vegan sausage roll – said total sales jumped 12.4% in the six weeks to 9 November.
In the same period, like-for-like sales in the stores managed by the company, were up 8.3%.
“The board now anticipates that full year underlying profit before tax (excluding exceptional charges) will be higher than our previous expectations,” Greggs said.
