Greggs has warned that they have a shortage of vegan sausage rolls this winter with London stores being the worst affected.
The high street baker said that Richmond, South Woodford, Canary Wharf, Earls Court, and Twickenham had all ran out of vegan sausage rolls this week.
Roger Whiteside said last month that the “sausage roll is safe,” but now there are “temporary interruptions” to stores across the UK.
A Greggs spokesperson said, “Like others, we’re seeing temporary interruptions which are affecting the supply for some of our products.
“Our stock levels will vary from day to day but we are working hard to minimise any impact on the availability of our products.”
Greggs are working hard to minimise disruption and a spokesperson said, “Some shops may not have them or may not have them throughout the day. It varies.”
However Whiteside added that “the sausage roll is safe, that’s one things we haven’t gone short of.”
