You all must have heard by now that Facebook snapped up messaging service WhatsApp for $19bn.

Founded in 2009, WhatsApp has 50 employees dealing with 450 million consumers every month.

What’s staggering is that the four-year-old company is now worth more than companies that have been going on for years.
