On Monday Eurostar’s last service left for Disneyland Paris from St Pancras to Marne-la-Vallee and the Amsterdam link is facing a suspension for almost a year.

Dutch media reported that infrastructure secretary Vivianne Heijnen announced that no Eurostar trains will run in or out of Amsterdam’s capital station whilst renovations take place, from June 2024 which could last until May the following year.

Eurostar reported last year in August last year of their decision to end the direct services, they said, “Whilst we continue to recover financially from the pandemic and monitor developments in the proposed EU Entry Exit (EES) system, we need to focus on our core routes to ensure we can continue to provide the high level of service and experience that our customers rightly expect

“Passengers can still enjoy high-speed rail travel between London and Disneyland Paris via Paris or Lille.”
