Boris Johnson is facing a make or break week as his future is on a knife edge as he is braced for the Sue Gray report into Downing Street drinks parties during lockdown.
The Gray report will determine the Prime Minister’s fate along with his political career, as many Tory MPs have kept telling Minister’s and the public to wait for the report, before they push for a vote of no confidence.
Police officers guarding Downing Street have given their statements for Gray’s investigation and The Telegraph has reported a source said they gave “extremely damning” accounts which will form the report.
Met police staff were “only too willing” to cooperate with the Gray investigation, despite not being under any obligation to.
A source told the paper, “Put it this way, if Boris Johnson is still Prime Minister by the end of the week, I’d be very surprised.”
Gray who is a top civil servant has also spoken with Johnson looked into his official diary, political advisors, civil servants and she has looked into the security pass logs.
The Conservative Party is facing collapsing opinion poll rating and for many Tory MPs, the mood is mutinous.
