A man has been arrested after two people were stabbed in Golders Green, north London, in what community groups described as a violent attack in a predominantly Jewish neighbourhood.
The incident prompted a rapid response from members of the public and emergency services, with the suspect reportedly detained after being confronted before police intervened and used a Taser to make the arrest.
Jewish neighbourhood watch group Shomrim said the man was seen running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife and attempting to stab members of the public.
The two victims are receiving treatment from Hatzola, a community-based emergency medical service that operates in the area.
In a statement, Shomrim said the suspect had been restrained by members of the public before police arrived and took him into custody.
