Frozen snacking brand Pukpip has secured its first major UK retail listing with Ocado Retail.

From April, Pukpip’s freshly frozen Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate Dipped Bananas will be available to buy in multipacks of three at Ocado Retail, with an RRP of £3 per box.

Pukpip first launched in 2023 with its sights set on disrupting the ice cream category and snacking market by tapping into the rise of permissible indulgence and frozen snacking with indulgent frozen fruit.

Pukpip upcycles perfectly imperfect bananas that are rejected from export due to small imperfections on their skin, because they’re the wrong shape or size or simply because there are too many on a bunch, and transforms them into real fruit snacks with a chocolate twist.

Zara Godfrey, Founder and Managing Director at Pukpip, said: “We know consumers are increasingly health conscious and actively looking for ways to get more fruit into their diet, and snack better, but with the demands of modern life, it’s not easy to always eat well and enjoy great taste, in fun and convenient ways.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be making Ocado Retail our first major grocery home, as we seek to give consumers the best of both worlds; real fruit, that’s real indulgent so consumers can feel good about treating themselves and their families.”

Zee Ahmad, Senior Buyer – Frozen at Ocado Retail, added: “Over the past couple of years, we’ve noticed the snacking occasion grow and our customers are looking for healthier options that don’t sacrifice on taste. Our partnership with Pukpip offers them even more choice than before and we’re looking forward to hearing their feedback.”
