Following pressure from the government and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) regarding fuel priced, Asda is to become the first supermarket to display fuel prices daily which will be live online.

Asda said that fuel prices for all of their filling stations will be available on the Asda Store Locator pages on their website.

The Leeds based firm said that prices will be made available to the public at 10.30am each day and will show the previous day’s closing price.

A spokesman for Asda said that “by sharing our prices online customers will be able to find the best value at the pumps before they get in the car.”
