The government published their three-tier list on a postcode checker which crashed shortly after it went live, in which a furious Sir Lyndsay Hoyle blasted them over not respecting the chamber.
Sir Lyndsay blasted the government and said it is “not acceptable” that news of the postcode checker was revealed in the media before Parliament.
The Speaker of the House blasted, “This House should be informed first we keep telling the government that is the way that good government should treat and respect this chamber.
“It is not acceptable to put it online.
“The only good thing about the government is it’s crashed so it’s not helpful, so might be that we do get the statement first.”
He added: “This House should hear it first.”
Sir Lyndsay ticked off Johnson and said to him via video link, this is “actually is Prime Minister’s Questions, not Leader of the Opposition questions.”
