The FT is reporting that Barclays is looking for a new chief executive to replace Jes Staley, who it suggests expects to leave the banking group by the end of next year.
Mr Staley, 63, who has led the bank since December 2015, could stand down at the annual meeting in May 2021, the financial paper adds.
