It happened over the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday, that double decker A380 plane with 497 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Goose Bay airport in Canada.
The French Accident Investigation Bureau and Airbus have launched an investigation “following serious damage to one of its four engines” as this was a “serious incident.”

It is unlikely to be a bird strike given the high altitude the flight was flying at, and being in the air for around five hours, passengers said that the engine had exploded.
Air France flew in two planes to get the passenger to Los Angeles.
