Shocking relevations revealed…
It has been revealed that Buckingham Palace was furious with Theresa May as she tried to form a government and “misled the Queen” over the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) negotiations, senior officials have reported.
According to the Sunday Times, May annoyed officials as she breached protocol, by saying she’d “formed a government” rather than Her Majesty the Queen ‘asking her to form a government.’
A Tory peer said that, “the Palace was alarmed by her formulation of words.”
A source added to the newspaper: “It is certainly true the Palace was being given a greater sense of certainty about the deal than was accurate, because the truth is that the DUP buggered Mrs May about longer than she thought.”
The Queen’s permanent secretary, Sir Christopher Geidt apparently made his frustrations clear however, the Queen did not make any formal complaint over the procedure.
One aide had reportedly suggested that an SAS soldier should be bought in to talk with May, as it has been claimed she broke down in tears after severe criticism over the election and how she handled the Grenfell Tower disaster.
