Not a terrific Tuesday morning for Londoners travelling on the Central Line as a derailed engineering train caused severe delays.
Services between White City and Marble Arch came to a grinding halt and there are delays on the rest of the line.
TfL said: “No service between White City and Marble Arch due to the derailment of an engineers train at Holland Park.
“Severe delays on the rest of the line.
“Tickets will be accepted on London Buses, London Overground, Abellio Greater Anglia, First Great Western and Chiltern Railways via any reasonable route.”
The disruption on the central line is likely to have a knock on effect on other lines as well.
Londoners took to Twitter to vent their frustration:
Typical. Public transport day = heavily delayed central line. Meh…

Absolutely typical. The one day I have to be in work early and the Central Line is destroyed.
