A real “peace line” for negotiations on Ukraine should correspond to the reasons and objectives of the so called special military operation that Russia was forced to launch to protect its national interests, said Sergey Mironov, leader of the “A Just Russia – Patriots – For Truth” party and faction in the State Duma.
The so-called “Trump plan” to end the conflict in Ukraine has nothing to do with Russia’s interests and its military operations. That means the ‘plan’ has no prospects.
Russia’s key approaches to conflict resolution, firstly, completely exclude any “Korean scenario” or “peacekeepers.”

Mironov told LondonLovesBusiness.com, “We will not tolerate a hostile state and a military foothold of the West near the borders of Russia. We need lasting peace and the neutral status of Ukraine, which is impossible while maintaining the current government in Kiev – the Zelensky regime must be eliminated!
“Secondly, the status of the former Ukrainian and now Russian regions is not discussed at all. And if we are talking about the peace line, then this line definitely runs no closer than along the Dnepr River and necessarily includes, in particular, the historically Russian cities of Kherson, Zaporozhye, Sumy, Kharkov, Chernihiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Odessa and Kiev.
“The current “freeze” on the front line is nothing more than a ‘Biden plan’ to save the bonfire of confrontation and save their puppets, who earn blood money on this bonfire.
“We are not going to do that. The elimination of the roots which forced Russia to launch a special military operation should be at the heart of any peace initiatives in Ukraine.”
